Breakfast Club

Breakfast has proven to boost children’s concentration skills, which is vital to learning.

Children can take advantage of our Breakfast Club which opens from 8.00am each day. Here children can relax and have toast/pancake and fruit juice for £1.10 per day.

Breakfast club not only benefits the children, but is useful for working parents who may draw upon this service.

Mid Morning Break

Straidbilly Primary is a Healthy Eating School and we encourage children to bring healthy snacks for break (fruit, vegetables or bread snacks). Milk is also available to order.

School Meals

School meals currently cost £2.60 per day. We are very grateful to have our own school kitchen where meals are prepared fresh daily on site. They have always proved to be very popular among pupils and staff!

Staying Hydrated

All children are encouraged to bring their own water bottle to ensure that they have water at their tables throughout their lessons.

Allergies

Straidbilly Primary is a nut-free school so please carefully check any food being sent in.

After School Provisions

Hangout Club is available for children after school each day Monday – Thursday. This club allows parents the opportunity to either pick children up later in the day or facilitate them to only have to do 1 pick-up rather than 2 (i.e picking up a younger child at 2pm and an older child at 3pm). Children can complete homework during this time if parents want them to or simply relax with jigsaws, computer activities, drawing etc.

After School Clubs

As well as Hangout Club, Straidbilly also offers a range of after school activity clubs throughout the year such as, football, hockey, tag rugby, arts and craft, multi-skills and choir.
